My parents told me that the reason I'm blonde is because Jewish women were raped constantly in Russia, hence the law stating that the paternity of child isn't relevant in deciding whether or not a child should be considered a Jew. If the mother is Jewish then the kid is Jewish, since no one could ever be sure of who the father was? When I got to college, I heard of the Theory of the Khazaks which claimed that European Jews are descendants of converts from the Khazak Empire. I looked at pics of people from Khazakstan. I've met people from there. I've met JEWS from there. None of them have big curly hair. In 2000, aish.com announced that there is in fact a common "Jewish" gene. "The research was based on samples from 29 populations, 7 Jewish, categorized into five major divisions: Jews, Middle-Eastern non-Jews, Europeans, North Africans, and sub-Saharan Africans." (http://www.aish.com/societywork/sciencenature/Jewish_Genes.asp) My entire family is from Lithuania. I've met non-Jews from that country and, except for their coloring, they don't look anything like me or my relatives. By that, I specifically mean not just the texture of their hair, but even their figures are different. Blood tests have proven a genetic link between all Jews. Have blood tests yet proven that European Jews' are descendants of Khazaks?... read more
